The restored manor house and former perfumery dating back to 1890 is situated on the outskirts of the Franschhoek village and is surrounded by enchanting vineyards and majestic mountains. It is just an hour’s drive from Cape Town, making it the perfect getaway for anyone visiting the Western Cape.

The Franschhoek Country House & Villas comprises 14 luxury rooms and 12 Villa Suites. All rooms offer the features and facilities expected of a first-class hotel. Most of the rooms lead out onto a private balcony or patio with magnificent views.The Villa Suites are extremely luxurious and spacious – each is 100m2 in size and boasts a fireplace, DVD player, individual satellite television, two air conditioners, two balconies and many more unexpected luxuries!

During the summer months, guests can laze beside one of two pools (one heated) with beautiful mountain vistas, visit the boutique wine farms in Franschhoek or stroll through the charming village founded by the French Huguenots.The in-house Monneaux restaurant, voted one of South Africa’s ‘Top Restaurants’, has become known for its innovative modern French cuisine. Monneaux Restaurant:
The award winning restaurant serves an inspired contemporary take on the classics. Lunch is enjoyed on the fountain terrace under a spreading pepper tree while dinner is enjoyed in the elegant but relaxed dining room in the original manor house. Set on the original site of Franschhoek’s first parfumerie, today its the heavenly scent of chef Adrian Buchanans cooking that inspires at the Monneaux Restaurant, a Cape culinary classic.

The restaurant has been in the country’s Top 100 list for six years consecutively, on the Top 10 list for two years and has won the American Express Platinum Award for fine dining.
