Game Reserves & Lodges offering the Protect & Save Special:

How It Works

Joining the Wilderness Foundation in the fight to save rhinos from extinction by donating a minimum amount, qualifies you for reduced safari rates with the mentioned game reserves and lodges.

The reduced safari packages include lunch, dinner, breakfast, two game drives, guided walks, tea, coffee, water, drinks on the game drives, tourism levies and VAT.

Forever Wild – Rhino Protection Initiative

The Wilderness Foundation launched its Forever Wild Rhino Protection Initiative in May 2011 to help save rhinos. The Forever Wild Conservation progamme is:

"...a response to the rhino poaching crisis and is active through the Rhino Protection Initiative."

The Rhino Campaign aims to generate support from both the public and relevent stakeholders in the fight against rhino poaching in South Africa.
In May 2011, the Wilderness Foundation drew up a petition of public outcry over the cruelty of rhino poaching. The petition was signed by over 18000 people from across the globe and then presented to the government as part of the Wilderness Foundation's lobbying campaign. The anti-poaching lobbying included a YouTube and social media campaign, which has helped to raise worldwide awareness of the rhino poaching crisis.
