Singita Lebombo Lodge

Singita Lebombo Lodge

My impressions of Singita Lebombo Lodge.

Singita Lebombo is built on the side of the Lebombo Mountain, and the idea with the architecture was to re-create an eagle’s nests. There are a total of 15 rooms. The main areas of the lodge are larger and more open than at Sweni Lodge. The main areas are split, there is a bar and lounge area on the one side. There is also a completely separate TV room with books and Internet. Then there is also a wine cellar. The dinning area overlooks the pool.

The general feel at Lebombo is more modern, contemporary with light earthy beiges, whites and a little green. I would say that Lebombo Lodge is well suited to a younger market, definitely a winner for the hip and happening. It’s not as private as the Sweni Lodge. The rooms at Lebombo are very similar to the ones at Sweni. They are a little smaller and one difference is that they only have 2 showers (one outside and one with a view) and only one toilet. They also don’t have a separate mini bar area, the mini bar is underneath the table near the entrance of the room. The decor is also different, in that the colours and furniture are more contemporary.

Seeing that the rooms are elevated you do get an amazing view, yet in the summer months when the temperature rises up to 40 degrees Celsius, they can become like saunas seeing that the walls are made of glass. Living areas at Singita Lebombo.Naturally, the rooms do have air conditioning, so you can control the temperatures inside.
