Take a Trip on The Famous Blue Train

The elegantly appointed carriages of the Blue Train travel at a leisurely 90 kph, allowing passengers to take in the stunning South African landscape as it glides past.  The beds in the suites have been custom designed for the Blue Train with luxurious cotton sheets and down duvets ensuring the experience is as luxurious while guests are asleep as when awake. The luxury suites are all equipped with audio-visual equipment and either a bath or a shower, depending on the carriage.

The dining car is able to seat 42 and offers two sittings for lunch and dinner. In keeping with the classic luxury of the Blue Train experience, dinner requires men to wear a jacket and tie, while elegant wear is suitable for ladies.   There are also two lounges available, the main lounge car where guests can enjoy high tea each afternoon, with the club car being ideal for a pre-dinner drink or after dinner cognac!
