On the banks of Botswana’s fabled Stolen River you will find Savute Safari Lodge, in a setting of singular beauty. Savute Safari Lodge accommodates only 24 guests in local timber-and-glass chalets with cool thatching. All chalets have private decks, a combined bedroom/lounge area and en-suite facilities, setting the lodge apart from typical safari accommodation. The lounge, library and cocktail bar are situated in the exquisite thatch and timber main building, while overlooking the channel Savute boasts a viewing deck, alfresco dining area and swimming pool – ideal for watching game at the waterhole. Activities centre around game drives in open 4x4 safari vehicles in the Savute area.

Savute Safaru Lodge boats a comfortable lounge and library as well a stylish bar, all of which are situated in an exquisite thatch and timber main building, which overlooks the channel. Savute Safari Lodge boasts a viewing deck, al fresco dining area and swimming pool with spectacular pool loungers - ideal for watching game as they come and go from the water hole.
There are no telephone facilities or cell phone coverage at Savute Safari Lodge, however lodge managers are in daily radio contact with the operations offices in Maun through whom messages can be passed.
Activities center around game drives in open 4x4 safari vehicles in the Savute area, including the Savute Marsh, and a visit to the ancient San rock paintings at Gubatsa Hills. Savute lays claim to the second biggest summer zebra migration in Africa, which is determined by the rains, but usually occurs between November and December and again between February and April when the zebras are in search of therain-ripe grasslands.
Access is via charter aircraft from Kasane (served by daily road transfers from Victoria Falls and Livingstone) and Maun to the Savute airstrip, operated by the Department of Wildlife. Savute Safari Lodge can also be reached by 4x4 vehicle.
