The Experience

Spend your vacation amongst African elephants at the luxury Tortilis Camp. Boasting unrivalled views of snow-capped Kilimanjaro, Tortilis Camp, named after the umbrella thorn tree, is situated on the side of Llimbarishi Hill in a privately owned conservancy in the Amboseli region of Kenya.

Explore the conservancy and Ambelosi National Park in a variety of ways through game drives and bush walks; either way will bring you into contact with some of the more than 1 000 elephants that inhabit this area.

Spend your nights in spacious safari tents with stylish furnishings and either a king or twin beds. The en-suite bathrooms are elegantly designed and offer all of the expected amenities. The main communal areas, the lounge, bar and dining area, are made of natural materials and thatched roofs with views onto Africa’s largest mountain, Kilimanjaro. Enjoy fine dining at this luxury safari destination and for something different, ask for breakfast to be served to you in the bush!

Between game excursions to view the wide variety of wildlife found in this region feel free to relax around the sparkling swimming pool or book in for a massage for a real treat. There are cultural excursions into local villages on offer and a visit to the Cynthia Moss Elephant Research Centre can be arranged.
