There is a wide range of game viewing and cultural activities available and of course during the months of July to October there is the great migration of millions of wildebeest across the plains. This is the place in Kenya to see big cats as well as the other members of the Big Five. Besides these majestic animals there are a whole host of other mammals including large herds of antelope as well as over 300 bird species. During the annual migration between the months of July and October, grunting herds of wildebeest and zebra move across the plains in their millions in search of fresh water and grass. As they cross the Mara River, crocodiles lie in wait for them as do predators such as lion and leopard on either side of the river.

This luxury safari destination is situated on a private stretch of land alongside the Mara River in the Masai Mara Game Reserve of Kenya.

There are several daily scheduled flights to and from the Mara. In Nairobi scheduled flights depart from Wilson Airport (approximately 45 minutes). Flights to Sanctuary Olonana land at the Kichwa Tembo Airstrip where our guide will meet you and drive approximately 15 minutes (more if game viewing on the way) to get to the camp. If travelling by road, the drive to the Mara goes through the Rift Valley and takes approximately six hours from Nairobi.
