If you would like even more privacy then opt for one of 12 Beach Pool Villas with their sunken swimming pools surrounded by decks and sun loungers. For a different experience try the Water Villas set on stilts in the lagoon – you are so close to the water that the gently rolling waves will lull you to sleep.  The Prestige Water Villas are set out along the coastline and offer their own private swimming pools. The decor in these matches the location with blue and sandy-coloured interiors, private terraces and fantastic views, even from the bath! The romantic canopy beds add that extra luxury touch. You have your choice of dining destination from beach restaurants to more formal ones in lush gardens or perched over the water in pontoons – in total there are seven restaurants and six bars to choose from! Undertake a cultural culinary journey from Senses with its succulent North Africa, Lebanese and Indian Ocean menu to Pure for Japanese-style open cooking and teppanyaki table; East for a discovery or Cambodian, Indonesian, Thai and Sri Lanka dishes and Allegria for authentic Italian treats. Noo serves up international buffets for breakfast and hosts lavish themed buffets with live entertainment at dinner and for romance and an informal barefoot atmosphere head to Iru Champagne Bar set right on the beach. The Veli Pool Bar and Seasons are open with a large array of more casual meals and snacks throughout the day.

You really might not want to leave your private terrace here but there are two beautiful swimming pools, tennis courts and a host of other activities to tempt you. Explore the stunning lagoon and house reefs by snorkelling or diving (there is a PADI centre on-site), there are kayaks and pedal boats available and you can easily hire windsurfers, water-skis and jet skis as well as arrange private catamaran trips and excursions to the nearby islets.

When out on the water look for the unusual clown fish, stone fish and the very large whale sharks! Back at the resort there is volleyball and beach table tennis, a fully-equipped fitness centre, billiard table and more available for your use. If you are in a relaxed frame of mind then book for a yoga class or two and if its romance you are after, a champagne sunset cruise is just the thing.
