The luxury rooms and suites at Sugar Beach Resort are laid out in 12 hectares of beautifully landscaped tropical gardens; the central reception area, Manor House and the villas all are reminiscent of plantation-style houses with their wide verandas and cool recesses. The 16 villas – ten of them with 12 rooms and six with ten rooms – all boast private verandas or terraces where you can escape to relax on the loungers and daybeds set out on them and just enjoy the ocean views or at night the beautiful African starlit skies.

The elegantly decorated 258 guest rooms and suites have all the comforts you will need from a fully-stocked mini-bar, individually controlled air-conditioning, tea/coffee facilities, satellite TV and WiFi internet access (at an extra charge). Choose from a wide variety of restaurants and eateries depending on your mood! If it is Italian then head to Citronella’s Café in its Italian marketplace setting; for fresh seafood and grills try the Tides restaurant right on the beach and for themed live cooking and cosmopolitan buffet dinners, Mon Plaisier is the place to go. Couples should indulge in sophisticated fare at the romantic Paul and Virginie Restaurant at the neighbouring La Pirogue resort.

As with everything else at this luxury resort the spa is out of this world; spoil yourself with a holistic pampering session at Aura between all of the other activities on offer at Sugar Beach Resort. There are two clubs for children, the Sun Kid’s Club with a range of age-appropriate activities and @Sungeneration for teens offering a special programme of sports and recreation as well as adventure outings, beach barbecues and a pizza night. At night the Sports Bar with its nightly entertainment, video games and pool tables is also the site of the disco with a resident DJ. 

You don’t have to do anything at this luxury resort except relax and rejuvenate however there is a tropical island waiting for you to explore it and right on your doorstep is a beautiful beach and beyond it a warm lagoon perfect for swimming, snorkelling and much more.

Try something new on your tropical island holiday and take up parasailing or big game fishing. There are plenty of ways to get out on the water including scuba diving and sailing. Back at the luxury resort you can cool off in the massive main pool or the quieter South Pool. For a romantic end to the day sign up for a catamaran cruise around the lagoon.

Golfers will be in their elements here with preferential access to le Touessrok Golf Course as well as the nearby Tamarina; there are six tennis courts, badminton and volleyball courts as well as space for mini-football, bocciball and games of Frisbee at Sugar Beach itself.
