This is one of the most luxurious residences you will find anywhere in the Indian Ocean with its two en-suite bathrooms, a third staff bedroom, sitting room with fireplace, dining area with a wine bar and a massive infinity swimming pool.

The Bazaruto Archipelago is simply one of the best diving spots in the world. Access this rich underwater life by choosing to snorkel or undertake a variety of dives suitable for beginners up to the very advanced. You will explore the unspoilt coral reefs and their rich diversity of inhabitants including dolphins, the elusive dugong and a multi-hued collection of tropical fish. Those keen on snorkelling will love the world-famous ‘aquarium’ at two mile reef.

Further out you will find the challenging game fish such as marlin, sailfish and yellowfin tuna, a challenge for any keen angler. Whales migrate through the archipelago on their southward migration and always make for an awe-inspiring site.  On shore keep a sharp look out for the turtles that come to lay their eggs on the beach and immerse yourself in the richness of the local flora and fauna and abundant birdlife.

When staying at the luxury Azura Retreat you will have the opportunity to explore the island by Land Rover meeting the local inhabitants and climbing dunes scattered with ancient Arab pottery remnants or cruising its shores by traditional dhow on your way to deserted beaches to search for the beautiful pansy shell.

At night, retreat to the main lodge to discover the mysteries of the African night skies with a tutored stargazing session or two. There is a small exercise room for those wanting to work off the fabulous food or book into the uniquely African spa for some spoiling.
