Tours & Safaris to Medjumbe Private Island

Spend your days exploring the marine world around this beautiful island paradise. This is one of the best spots in the world to go diving or snorkelling as the coral reefs are untouched and inhabited by an abundance of marine species. Expect to get up close to moray eels and stingrays as well as an array of tropical, brightly coloured reef fish. Besides the 12 known dive sites, there are plenty of other places to explore and if you find something special you can ask the dive master for the privilege of naming your find!

Further offshore awaits an angler’s paradise with barracuda, kingfish, mackerel, yellow-fin tuna and large game fish; while fishing in these waters you will also encounter the beautiful dolphins that frolic in the warm Indian Ocean  and in months from August to November, whales frequent the area. Closer to shore keep a lookout for the distinctive leatherback, loggerhead and green turtles that come to lay their eggs along the sandy island beaches.

It is a pure pleasure to swim here in the balmy waters that hardly ever drop below 27 degrees, even in winter and a walk along the shoreline of this small island, 1 kilometre long and 500 metres wide, will prove rewarding for nature- and bird-lovers. There are a host of activities regardless of your inclination to keep you occupied from sailing, water skiing, kayaking and more...
