Namibia

Like nowhere else on Earth

Namibia is a unique destination. There is nothing like it anywhere else on Earth. Predominantly Desert, it evokes the spirit of Africa as it offers space, incredible landscapes and vistas, sunsets you only dream about and fantastic weather all year round. One of the least inhabited countries in the world is one of its charms and the highlights include the largest sand-dunes on the planet,  namely Sossusvlei,- in the Namib Naukluft Park, the dramatic and wild Skeleton Coast famed for its shipwrecks as well as the must see coastal resort Swakopmund which includes dolphins and seal adventures amongst others. The magnificent array of wildlife can be experienced in the Etosha National Park in the north.

Geographically, (see our map), Namibia borders South Africa to its South, Botswana to its East, the Atlantic Ocean on the West and Angola lies north of it. The north-east border right at the eastern point of the Caprivi Strip is where four countries meet, namely Namibia, Zambia, Botswana and Zimbabwe which is close to the famous Victoria Falls.  Windhoek is the capital and where most international flights arrive and where your adventure would start.

Namibia for You

Southern Africa Travel staff’s personal travel experiences to this country occur on an annual basis, (we are a 2 hour flight away) and our consultants are constantly ready to share this knowledge in the form of a customised itinerary just for you!

For the Traveller, because of the large distances between the towns and various adventures and experiences some would prefer fly-in safaris. Others with more time might prefer to self-drive or a private guided itinerary. We also offer set-departure itineraries if you’d like to join others on your Namibia adventure.
