Enjoy the intimate safari experience offered by the luxury Ongava Tented Camp, located on a private reserve bordering the southern section of the Etosha National Park. Sleep in one of only six elegantly furnished Meru-style tents with their double doors allowing you uninterrupted views of the bush and waterhole in front of the camp.

During your stay here, a ranger is on hand to take care of all of your needs while in the camp and to accompany you on guided excursions into the bush. One of the drawcards to this luxury safari experience is the opportunity you will have to go on walking safaris and night drives that are not permitted in the Etosha National Park proper.

Enjoy drinks and dinner in the cool night air around the central fireplace; the bar and dining area are built out of rock and thatch complementing the surrounding area. From here you can watch out over the much-frequented waterhole. There is also a swimming pool available for guests so it is not just the animals that get to appreciate the cooling effect of the water.

Your ranger will escort you on the excellent walking trails on the property and take you on game drives into the 75 000 acres of game reserve on the doorstep of this luxury safari lodge.

Ongava Tented Camp – a uniquely African luxury bush encounter.

The stylish Meru tents (traditional East African safari tents) have their own covered veranda as well as en-suite facilities including a basin, toilet and shower with hot and cold running water. Erected on solid floors, each luxury tent at Ongava is equipped with insect nets, nightlights and comfortable furnishings.

There are plenty of walking trails in the region and of course, game drives around the private reserve as well as into Etosha National Park itself. At Ongava Tented Camp you are also able to experience the beauty of evening game drives and even tracking animals on foot (with an experienced guide).

Ongava Tented Camp is situated on the private Ongava Game Reserve on the southern boundary of Etosha National Park, in Namibia.
