Table Mountain
Climb Cape Town’s most iconic attraction, Table Mountain for a panoramic view of the city beneath. If you are feeling fit, take one of the many walking trails up the mountain or whip up to the top in the revolving cable cars. Cape Point
Breathe in the pure air that flows straight from the Antarctic at Cape Point. Set in the Good Hope Nature Reserve, this is a fantastic spot to picnic, walk the well-laid trails, fish, swim and admire the outstanding views. The funicular will take you to the Point and you are welcome to walk to the old lighthouse site from there.
Victoria & Alfred Waterfront
Shop up a storm at the V&A Waterfront, a recreational hub located adjacent to a working harbour. This shopping Mecca is home to more than 400 shops, restaurants, pubs and coffee shops. Bishopscourt is arguably one of South Africa’s wealthiest suburbs, and with its prime location nestled in between Newlands and Constantia.

Bo Kaap (meaning ‘above the Cape’ in Afrikaans) is also known as the Malay Quarter, and is the oldest suburb in Cape Town.
The suburb is a thriving Muslim community, and was largely left untouched during the forced removals in the Apartheid era. Original cobbled paving and brilliantly coloured traditional Malay houses can still be seen in most parts of the suburb, which give it a special appeal.
Bo Kaap is bordered by Tamboerskloof on the city bowl side, with Military Road forming the border. On the other side, Bo Kaap is bordered by De Waterkant. It is a few minutes walk to the CBD, and situated on the slopes of Signal Hill.
One of the busiest roads in Bo Kaap is Whale Street, which is where you will be able to sample some fine Cape delicacies at the Spice Market, and also visit a community arts project called Monkey Biz.
If you are lucky, you may get a glimpse of the legendary Bo Kaap ice-cream van, which runs exclusively through the Bo Kaap area during summer afternoons and can be heard from miles away.

With the CBD and foreshore on the ocean side, the city bowl is nestled on the slopes of Lions Head on the mountain side.
Main areas in the city bowl include Tamboerskloof, which is a quiet, leafy suburb which runs above trendy Kloof Street and through Kloof Nek on the one side and Buitengracht Road on the other side.
Oranjezicht is an affluent area situated near Cape Town’s popular dog-friendly park, De Waal Park, and runs along the foot of the mountain.

Built by Italian prisoners of war during World War 1, this is Cape Town's own mini-slice of the Amalfi Coast, minus the ancient villages running up the cliff-faces of course. The road truly is one of the world's most dramatic pieces of tarmac. An excellent route should you be travelling South from the city towards Cape Point. Watch out for the cyclists, or better yet, hire a bike in Hout Bay and join them for a more visceral experience.

Constantia is a green, leafy suburb situated in the rich Constantia Valley.
With its winding, tree-lined avenues and beautiful homesteads, Constantia has an air of distinguished charm and old-world glamour.
Widely known for its excellent wineries, Constantia was predominantly a farming area until fairly recent years. The rich and water-friendly environment is ideal for growing grapes and crops, and the land is highly fertile in the valley.
Attractions in the Constantia area include a top-market shopping centre called Constantia Village, wine estates, an array of fine restaurants, Cecelia Forest, horse riding stables, craft markets and many other highlights.
Real estate in Constantia is fairly high priced, with large Victorian, Cape Dutch and Georgian homesteads set on enormous plots with beautiful gardens. Cape Town’s ‘old money’ has lived in the area for generations, and as such the area is fairly affluent.
Situated just 20 minutes from the city centre, Constantia is a beautifully scenic suburb offering a range of activities to enjoy and a highlight of any luxury South African holiday.

Kalk Bay is an 18th century fishing village in the 'Deep South' of the peninsula. Once the end of the line for road-going travellers heading South to Simonstown, the harbour served as a launch for those needing to get to the larger port at Simonstown, about ten kilometers to the South. Today it is a bustling arts and crafts and foodie destination. The local population is, and always has been a cultural melting pot made up of the original fishing village community, descended from freed slaves, and the boho towns folk who live on the other side of Boyes Drive. There are many excellent restaurants, with the inimitable Olympia Cafe, Harbour House and Polana being standouts.
Kalk Bay Reef forms a neat little left hander that is akin to a miniature version of Hawaii's famous Pipeline. Be prepared to fight for waves on a good day though.

Kirstenbosch is the worlds foremost botanical mecca for fynbos enthusiasts. Fynbos is the colloquial term for the Cape floral genus, which is internationally unique to the Western Cape region. The gardens are a fantastic picnic spot tucked beneath the southerly slopes of Table Mountain. More recently it has also evolved into the Mother City's most popular outdoor music venue. More adventurous spirits will want to take advantage of the challenging hiking routes up Table Mountain via Nursery Rivine and Skeleton Gorge.

Kommetjie was named after ‘the Kom’, which is the natural basin along the coast making the perfect harbour for small boats, situated near to the lighthouse.
The suburb is quiet and not as well-known as Hout Bay or other coastal towns, however the pace of life is easy and relaxed, and many locals prefer the peace and quiet that Kommetjie offers.
Kommetjie is a great bird-watching area, with the Kom being ranked as one of the top birding spots in Cape Town. Sightings of seabirds are prime here, and bird lovers come from all over the city to spot gulls and other pelagic seabirds.
The area is also a prime surfing spot but the water is cold and not ideal for swimming.
The commercial areas in Kommetjie are fairly small, however there is a shopping centre and a number of good restaurants and coffee shops situated in the town.
The drive to Kommetjie offers breathtaking views of the ocean and mountain, and although it takes about 30 minutes from the city centre, it is well worth the effort.
Overall, a day in Kommetjie is sure to be a memorable part of your tailor-made luxury holiday and is highly recommended.

Houses in Noordhoek are large and spacious, and most of the prime real estate is situated along the mountain and into the forests.
There is a strong village vibe, with craft stalls, art galleries and boutiques as well as restaurants, coffee shops and the popular Red Herring tavern.
With its lush forests and beautiful mountain environment, it is sometimes easy to forget that Noordhoek also has a beautiful beach, which has clear waters and vast stretches of white sand.
