The three beautifully rebuilt Classic trains each carry a maximum of 72 passengers, who are accommodated in the most spacious train suites in the world, with fine wood panelling and period Edwardian features, as well as every modern convenience and comfort. Each of the four Royal Suites has its own private lounge area and features a full en-suite bathroom with shower and Victorian bath.

Each Deluxe Suite has a lounge area and private bathroom with a shower, while the Pullman Suites have a room with a bench seat during the day that converts to double or twin bunk in the evening. They also have en-suite bathrooms with shower. Traditional furnishings and period decor ensures an atmosphere of elegance and grandeur in the dining, lounge and observation cars. Choose from a series of train or air journeys lasting from 24 hours to a fortnight. There are two beautifully rebuilt classic Rovos Rail trains, each for a maximum of 72 passengers accommodated in the most spacious train suites in the world. With fine wood panelling, period Edwardian features as well as every modern convenience and comfort, the air-conditioned suites for two people offer the option of twin or double beds. There are three types of suite on Rovos Rail. The Royal Suites each have their own private lounge area and full en-suite bathroom with shower and Victorian bath. The Deluxe Suites each have a lounge and bathroom with shower.The Pullman Suites have a room with a bench seat that converts to double or twin beds at night for sleeping, and an en-suite bathroom with shower. Each of the Rovos Rail trains has two 42-seater dining cars to accommodate the maximum complement of 72 passengers in total comfort at one sitting.

Each train has a non-smoking Observation Car at the rear of the train, while the coach next to it contains a small smoking lounge. A unique feature of the Observation Cars is the enlarged windows and open-air balconies. At the centre of the train, when numbers dictate, there is a non-smoking Lounge Car, which houses the Gift Shop.Rovos Rail is located at Capital Park, Pretoria, in an old locomotive shed, which has been lovingly refurbished. The only private rail station in South Africa, it incorporates a railway museum and all the facilities necessary for ensuring the smooth operation of the trains.

The two Rovos Rail trains travel across South Africa as well as to Victoria Falls and Dar Es Salaam.
