Around-the clock personal butlers see to the guests’ every need for the duration of their trip, be it in the comfort of their private suites or at any one of our exquisite lounges. The Blue Train offers scheduled and charter services. The scheduled route is from Pretoria to Cape Town or vice versa, and the charter routes are from either Pretoria to Durban or Pretoria to Hoedspruit. Charter options are available for groups of 40 or more guests. The Blue Train

Luxury train travel is what the Blue Train is all about. Guests notice this from the moment they step into their suites. The suites on the Blue Train are transformed from elegant and spacious private lounges by day into comfortable sanctuaries at night. All the suites are equipped with 100% percale cotton linen and goose-down duvets and pillows. Private marble bathrooms have marble vanity basins, gold fittings and a shower or bath.

Each suite in the Blue Train is a world on its own, with an individually controlled air-conditioning system and a private entertainment centre with a choice of movie channels and radio stations.

Luxury Suites
The Luxury Suites extend ones personal domain by more than a metre, and the twin or double-bed suites offer deep, long baths for slow, luxuriant soaking. The suites extend the choice of radio and movie channels even further by including a private digital entertainment centre and an inviting selection of music CDs and big-screen movies on DVD.

Deluxe Suites
There are nine Deluxe Coaches on the first train and eight on the train with the conference car. The Deluxe Coaches have four suites per coach; one suite with a bath and the others with showers. The Deluxe Suites feature either twin beds with a shower, or double beds with a bathtub and handheld shower.

The Blue Train’s butlers are on hand to attend to guests’ every need. The train has dining cars, lounges and bars for guests enjoyment. A special conference car is available for special business meetings and functions. The Blue Train runs on a scheduled route between Cape Town and Pretoria but is able to be chartered upon request.
