Carved into the iNyoni rock, Isandlwana Lodge overlooks Mount Isandlwana, the site of the famous Anglo-Zulu war battle. Today, the enigmatic mountain of Isandlwana nestles peacefully amongst the imposing beauty of the Zululand hills. In January 1879, however, it was the site of one of the most dramatic and enthralling events in the history of the Zulu Kingdom during the Victorian era.
The lodge offers the ideal base from which to explore this unique part of South African history. In addition you are spoilt for choice with horse riding, birding, walking and other moving battle sites all within close proximity. Take the time time to learn more about the vibrant Zulu people and their culture on a village tour.

Isandlwana Lodge is located four hours from Durban in the heart of the renowned battlefields of the Anglo-Zulu War.
It is an excellent winter sun destination that is also easily accessed from Johannesburg via national roads. A small airport is located at Dundee approximately 74 kilometres away and is ideal for charter flights.
