Tswalu Kalahari is South Africa’s largest private game reserve, covering an area of over 100,000 hectares (approximately 247,000 acres). The Motse, nestles at the foot of the Korannaberg mountains, facing the grasslands of the Kalahari. Built of local stone, rich red clay and traditional Kalahari thatch, the Motse (“village” in Tswana) was recently redesigned by world-renowned Boyd Ferguson. The lodge accommodates no more than 20 guests and suites define an elegant, barefoot luxury.
