Leadwood Lodge is one of the smallest and most exclusive properties in the Sabi Sands. Catering for up to eight guests, this luxury lodge has just four suites tucked into a wooded bank of the Sand River. Each suite is wonderfully private and perfect for a secluded honeymoon, or the exclusive use of family or friends travelling together.
Being in the Sabi Sands the safari experience is unbelievably good, and most guests see all of Africa’s Big 5 - sometimes within a single game drive! Indeed game viewing often begins before leaving camp, as elephant or nyala (antelope) are often seen down by the Sand River and vervet monkeys leap amongst the branches of the jackalberry trees.
The main lodge has a high thatched roof and one side is open to the river views. Inside the stone walls and polished wooden floors blend beautifully with clusters of cushioned chairs. It’s a welcoming space leading onto outside decks where steps and levels create plenty of secluded corners. You’ll soon find your favourite deck to read a book or enjoy a quiet drink overlooking the river.
Another thing that really sets Leadwood Lodge apart is the exceptionally high levels of personalised service. Your ranger and tracker team will tailor game drives around your interests and your butler will remember which wine you prefer with dinner. The chef too is happy to accommodate any requests possible, and whips up exquisite dinners served out on the deck or in the boma around a roaring fire.
