One of the suites has its own private pool while the other has a Jacuzzi with bush views. If Cliff Lodge is booked by one party, it comes with a private chef and a game drive vehicle that is reserved for the group’s use. The two Makwela Suites boast their own private infinity plunge pools and the remaining two-bedroomed Rock Suite offers fantastic views over the distant Drakensberg Mountains. All of the luxury rooms at this premier safari destination have all of the amenities and facilities that one could want or dream of. On guided game drives explore the 13 500 hectares of this private game reserve as you search out the Big Five – the lion, buffalo, leopard, elephant and rhinoceros. The daily safari walks enable you to really get up close to the flora, fauna and smaller animals of the region and there are talks and discussions on a regular basis by experts in the field.

Activities in the region include a visit to Elephant Whispers with its resident population of these majestic animals, the opportunity to fly over the cascades and canyons by helicopter or to visit the nearby Blyde River Canyon.
