Exciting game drives in an open safari vehicle with a passionate guide will leave you feeling enchanted. You will see a multitude of game species from the African elephant, the gentle giants of the bush, to the shy blue duiker. Night drives open up a different world of inquisitive spring hare, elusive bat- eared foxes and the peculiar aardwolf.
The lodge is situated in a wide valley overlooking a waterhole. Stone and thatch chalets are comfortably decorated in a relaxed Pan-African style. Your chalet features an en-suite bathroom and air-conditioning for the warmer summer days. Drink in the views from your private deck or unwind at the lodge’s sparkling pool.
Dining at Lalibela is an informal, shared experience. Savour local specialities and contemporary African dishes – true safari cuisine. Enjoy brunch on the sunlit deck or dine under the diamond African sky in the outdoor boma.
Friendly child-minders are on hand to ensure parents relax, whilst children are kept entertained. With a myriad of unique activities, a playground, jungle gym, paddling pool and entertainment room, Bumble Bee drives and a special children’s menu, Lalibela Mark’s Camp will ensure your family makes memories to last a lifetime.
The safari lodge offers four regular chalets and four family-sized chalets set apart for privacy, accommodating up to 20 guests at a time.
Each chalet has an en suite bathroom and features comfortable furnishings along with air-conditioning. The chalets lead out onto private viewing deck areas, offering guests panoramic views of the bushveld.
Between game drives, guests can relax in the large lounge, bird watch from the viewing decks or laze around the sparkling swimming pool.
Facilities at Lalibela Mark’s Camp include an open-air boma for outdoor brunches and al fresco dining beside the campfire at night. The lodge also features an elegant dining room in the main lodge area.
Children will delight in the special playground with jungle gym, paddling pool and entertainment room. Child minders are available throughout the day.
