Shamwari Sarili Lodge

The family-friendly accommodation at Shamwari Sarili Lodge is in five suites that can sleep a maximum of ten guests. The suites are divided into three king-bedded rooms and two twin-bedded rooms. The décor is traditional Farmhouse and the rooms spacious and child-friendly with all the amenities you would expect from a luxury lodge such as air-conditioning, tea/coffee facilities, private mini-bars and electronic safes.

Make use of the swimming pool with its child-friendly shallow end to cool off in between game excursions at this Big Five destination. The “Kids on Safari” programme is run for children aged four and older and promises them a wildlife experience they will never forget.

Shamwari Sarili is located in the southern part of the world-famous Shamwari Game Reserve, known as a fantastic malaria-free safari destination. The Reserve is home to an abundance of intriguing animals as well as the Big Five Game drives in open, modern game viewing vehicles take place every morning and early evening.

You can also book for a guided game or nature walk in the Reserve, this is highly recommended as Shamwari has five eco-systems within its borders and thus a diverse range of fauna and flora. You will also find two big cat sanctuaries here, the Born Free Foundation and the Shamwari Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre, both creating awareness of the plight of wildlife held in captivity.
