Beho Beho is thought by many to be one of the finest safari camps in Africa. Built up in the Selous hills with their cooling breezes Beho Beho offers everything you could possibly hope for in a safari camp: excellent guiding, understated bush luxury, a magnificent setting and five-star service.
And while the game viewing in the Selous might not be quite up to the exceptional standard of the Serengeti or Ngorongoro Crater there is still plenty of wildlife about with regular sightings of lion, elephant, buffalo, giraffe, leopard, spotted hyena and rivers full of hippo. What’s more you’ll hardly ever see another safari vehicle, adding to the true wilderness feeling of this vast reserve.
Beho Beho is privately owned and run camp. The attention to detail is fantastic and the staff here take care of their guests as if they were good friends. Days tend to be flexible, so rather than rushing back to camp you get to spend enough time with thrilling sightings such as a pride of lion or pack of wild dog.
This welcoming feel is enhanced at dinners which are enjoyed family style around a large table, the guides joining in and chatting about your day’s sightings or sharing their experiences of living in the Selous. As for the food, it's amazing that such high quality cuisine can be served up in these wild and remote surroundings.
