There are tours and excursions to heritage destinations on Zanzibar or you can cruise the mangroves in a traditional Dhow boat to see the abundance of wildlife thriving in the on-shore forests and for something completely unique, sign up for a reef walk (at low tide, of course) and head out onto the coral to view the spectacular marine wildlife. The Jozani Forest, home to the endemic Red Colobus Monkey, is also nearby and worth a visit.
