Kalamu Lagoon Camp – rustic, authentic safari tented camp experience

The eight en-suite safari tents boast both indoor and outdoor showers with the water coming from a borehole and the electricity generated by solar panels. The spacious and comfortably appointed tents are made from reeds and canvas and all have ceiling fans to offer respite from the heat.
If that’s not working head for the pool at the main viewing decks overlooking the lagoon; you will also dine here under the shade of the giant ebony trees. There is a bar for before or after dinner drinks. The main camp area is a great place to watch game gather at the river especially during the spectacular sunsets experienced in this region.
You have of course come for the magnificent wildlife that South Luangwa is so famous for so take every chance you can get to engage – through day and night game drives and the walking safaris that the region is known for.
