Zebra Plains Walking Safari Camp – the ultimate safari experience

This classic walking safari experience is exclusive; there are only four traditional tents and a maximum of six guests ensuring that the experience is personalised and intimate. All of the luxury tents have beds, safari-style furniture, mosquito nets, and en-suite facilities including flush toilets. As the camp is seasonal (June to October), it is packed up every year to minimise its carbon footprint and leave no trace of its existence.

Gourmet meals are served in a variety of venues to offer you great views and additional game watching opportunities. There is a small bar area at the main camp as well as a library for your perusal. 

 

Although South Luangwa National Park is known for its high concentration of game and for sure on this exclusive walking safari you will pass by lion, leopard and the elusive wild dog but you will also have the opportunity to see many of the hundreds of bird species that call this area home as well as become acquainted with the ‘Little Five’ – the rhino beetle, buffalo weaver, elephant shrew, leopard tortoise and ant lion!

Sanctuary Zebra Plains is located in a remote and untouched area of the South Luangwa National Park in Zambia at the confluence of the Luangwa and Chichembe Rivers. Access the area by charter flight to Mfuwe Airport and then complete the journey by 4x4 vehicle.
