The Hide Safari Camp is set on the eastern boundary of the famous Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe’s largest game reserve and known for its abundance and diversity of wildlife, in particular large herds of elephant, buffalo, giraffe and lion.
Stay in one of ten spacious, East African-style luxury canvas tents, set under thatch and all overlooking the main waterhole. All of the luxury tents have their own en-suite bathrooms with a bath and indoor-outdoor shower and most importantly, piping hot water all day long! Start the day with an al fresco breakfast and dine in style at lunch and dinner around a magnificent 22-seater teak dining table. There is a swimming pool on site so you can easily escape the heat of the day or relax in the sun lounge or viewing area in the main lodge.
Expect to see a wide variety of wildlife species during your stay including the Big 5 and some of the 400-odd species of bird that have been recorded here. This is one of the few private camps in the National Park itself allowing you to almost exclusively explore the beauty of the African bush through morning and afternoon game drives and guided walks and night drives or use one of the carefully sited hides for a really up-close view. For an extraordinary experience choose to sleep out in the ‘Dove’s Nest’ treehouse.
Consistently voted ‘Best Safari Camp in Zimbabwe’, the Hide promises the ultimate wildlife and wilderness experience to its guests.
