The Jock Safari Lodges Story

Jock Safari Lodge is set in the southern area of Africa’s premier wildlife reserve, the Kruger National Park. The lodge is named after Sir Percy Fitzpatrick’s animal classic Jock of the Bushveld, a book written at the time of South Africa’s first gold rush. Built to the most stringent eco-management criteria and audited by the Kruger National Park and DEAT (Department of Environment and Tourism) on a bi-annual basis, Jock Safari Lodge offers guests 6,000 hectares of exclusive traversing in pristine African wilderness.

Guests can choose between two luxury lodges. In addition to twice-daily game drives the lodge also offers a unique Frogging Safari discovering the estimated 34 different species of Amphibians in the Kruger National Park. The reserve also boasts some of the oldest Bushmen rock art in Africa, estimated at 3,000 years old.
