Three of Southern Africa’s top destinations in one incredible trip! Your journey starts in Cape Town, staying at the V&A Waterfront with Table Mountain as your backdrop. Explore the winelands and white sand beaches, before flying up to the Kruger Park – or Sabi Sands - for an exclusive wildlife safari at one of Singita’s luxury lodges. To top it all visit both Victoria Falls and Chobe whilst staying at a Relais & Chateaux lodge overlooking the Zambezi River.
Your journey begins in one of the most vibrant and beautiful cities in the world, Cape Town. Here you’ll be staying at the One&Only, an urban chic resort surrounded by the restaurants, bars and boutique shops of the ever-popular V&A Waterfront.
Staying at the Waterfront puts you within easy reach of many of Cape Town’s top attractions: the famous white sands of Camps Bay and Clifton beaches, the cable car ready to whisk you to the top of Table Mountain, and the city centre where Victorian buildings house trendy coffee shops and the cobbled streets of the Bo Kaap are famous for their colourful homes and spicy flavours.
And that’s just the start. There’s so much more of the Cape Peninsular to explore from the fynbos-filled botanical gardens at Kirstenbosch to Cape Point’s rugged cliffs. While back at the One&Only there’s an excellent spa, as well as two of the city’s most acclaimed restaurants: Nobu (by legendary Michelin-starred chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa) and Reuben’s (by local celebrity chef Reuben Riffel).
After the beaches of Cape Town, look forward to the superb game viewing and luxurious lodge accommodation that is synonymous with the award-winning Singita brand.
This safari includes two days at Singita Sweni in a private Kruger Park concession, and two days at Singita Ebony in the game-rich Sabi Sands Reserve. A short flight takes you between the lodges, each with their own distinct feel: Sweni has six glass-walled suites, while at Ebony you'll have your own heated plunge pool overlooking the Sand River.
At both lodges you can be assured of exceptional game viewing on morning and afternoon drives led by professional guides and trackers. Get up close to Africa’s wildlife with an excellent chance of seeing all of the Big 5 – lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and large herds of buffalo – along with a host of other animals such as hyena, hippo, cheetah and wild dog.
Between drives there’s time for a blissful session at the lodge spa or a few lazy hours alongside the pool. And in the evening look forward to first-class cuisine accompanied by a bottle of fine wine from Singita’s 20,000-bottle wine cellar.
Your safari ends with a few relaxing days at a riverside lodge an hour’s drive upstream of Victoria Falls. Zambia’s first Relais & Chateaux property, Royal Chundu River Lodge is perfectly placed for exciting day trips to Victoria Falls and Chobe, followed by peaceful evenings on a private stretch of the Zambezi.
Victoria Falls is the largest sheet of falling water in the world; and although the majority of the falls lie within Zimbabwe, the paths on the Zambian side gets you up really close to this thundering waterfall (best viewed from February to May). While there why not make a day of it and enjoy a bit of shopping at the curio market or even a helicopter flight over the falls themselves.
Then there’s Chobe National Park in neighbouring Botswana, a game-packed reserve famous for its large herds of elephant. Visit Chobe and enjoy both a guided game cruise on the Chobe River and game drive deeper into the park, before returning to Royal Chundu for sundowner drinks on your private deck and dinner served either in the elegant dining room or around the fire in the star-lit boma.
