Flight over Victoria Falls

Your adventure begins at the luxurious Royal Livingstone Hotel, in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park. This grand colonial-style hotel has zebra and giraffe wandering across its lawns, as well as a beautiful swimming pool and sundecks overlooking the Zambezi River and spray rising up from Victoria Falls.

The Royal Livingstone is a mere 10-minute walk from Victoria Falls, where paths lead you right up close to this cascading waterfall. In addition to the spectacular views, this area offers a diversity of activities including sundowner cruises, elephant-back safaris, white-water rafting, canoeing, helicopter and microlight flights over the falls, and visits to local villages.

For something completely different, a five-course dinner aboard the Royal Livingstone Express Victorian steam train is an experience not to be missed.

Big Game Safari in the Wild South Luangwa

Elephant in the South Luangwa

Sanctuary Puku Ridge is set on a hillside in a remote, game-rich region of Zambia’s South Luangwa National Park. This valley is home to a vast array of wildlife including elephant, lion, buffalo, zebra, giraffe – and has a reputation as being one of the best places in Africa to spot the elusive leopard!

Along with twice-daily game drives, you have the chance of going on a walking safari led by your extremely knowledgeable (and armed!) guide. The South Luangwa is the birthplace of walking safaris, and this is a great way to really feel a part of your wild surroundings. Birders too will be in their element, as there are more than 400 species of birds that make South Luangwa their home.

Sanctuary Puku Ridge is an intimate camp with just seven spacious safari tents and a comfortable lodge overlooking floodplains that are often dotted with grazing herds.
