Best of Namibia

6 Nights | 7 Days | from Costs on request per person

This scheduled tour is for 7 nights seeing the Best Namibia has to offer, with accommodation options Damaraland Camp, Little Ongava and Little Kulala.

Situated on the northern face of the Huab River Valley and looking south toward the imposing Brandberg Mountains, Damaraland Camp offers its guests endless vistas. Early morning mists generated by the clash between the icy Atlantic Ocean and the warm desert air of the Skeleton Coast, drift inland along the river sand canyon, providing sustenance to the flora and fauna of the region.

Ongava Lodge is situated along the southern boundary of Etosha National Park in the privately owned Ongava Game Reserve. Ongava is the ideal place from which to base your activities when visiting Etosha. Etosha is Namibia's premier game viewing destination. It is one of Africa's largest game parks being nearly the size of Switzerland. Large herds of plains game concentrate around the waterholes in the dry season making for exciting game viewing.

Situated south of the Sesriem gate to Sossusvlei on the 21,0000 hectare private Kulala Wilderness Reserve and bordering the Namib Naukluft Park, Little Kulala lies in the heart of the Namib. The camp is built on the western side of the Kulala Wilderness Reserve and offers magnificent views of the famous red dunes of Sossusvlei as well as magnificent mountainous scenery and vast open plains.

In addition, hides and walks with armed guides are enjoyed on the private reserve. Day 5 |

At a time to be advised by the camp management, you will be transferred from Ongava Lodge to the appropriate airstrip for your scheduled light aircraft transfer to Little Kulala. Flight departure at 10h40pm Flight arrival at 15h40pm Little Kulala Little Kulala is located on the dry Auab River bed and has some of the design features of the established Kulala Desert Lodge, but is a smaller, more intimate camp. The 11 climate-controlled, thatched villas merge impeccably into the timeless desert landscape, with exquisite fittings and fixtures, innovative bleached decks each with a private plunge pool. Each villa has a rooftop 'skybed' for romantic stargazing, with both indoor and outdoor showers. An elegant entertainment area includes a library, wine cellar, craft boutique, lounge and dining areas; al fresco fine dining is a highlight. The interiors were designed to ensure guests an all-natural and unique experience in this most beautiful environment. Pure linens, cottons and mohair dyed with natural vegetable dyes all make for a very organic camp which takes its inspiration from its surroundings, notably from the magnificent Dead Vlei in the middle of Sossusvlei. Early morning guided game drives to the spectacular towering dunes of Sossusvlei are through a private gate into the reserve. Sossusvlei is situated within the Namib Desert, the oldest desert in the world, which itself is part of the Namib Naukluft National Park that stretches 400km south of Walvis Bay and is sandwiched between the west coast and the escarpment that runs parallel more than 100km inland. Its huge red dunes and flat valley floors make up the archetypical view of the Namib that is world famous. Guided drives and walks are also offered on the private Kulala Wilderness Reserve with incredible views, desert-adapted wildlife and plants. A balloon safari at extra cost offers a unique experience soaring silently above the desert before landing for a champagne breakfast. 2 Nights’ accommodation at the Little Kulala Lodge, Sossusvlei in a Luxury Tented Room on a fully inclusive basis including all meals, park fees, scheduled activities, laundry, local drinks and house wines
